Bird flu detected in Kathmandu

Gokarneshwor Municipality has urged residents and poultry farmers to be vigilant after Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (bird flu) was confirmed in several wards. Infected birds, feed, and related materials are being destroyed, and disinfection measures are underway. The municipality has also implemented restrictions on entry into poultry farms and mandated disinfection for workers and premises to prevent the spread of the disease.
