The Economic Survey for fiscal year 2082/83 reveals that the federal government dominates Nepal's revenue collection, accounting for 92.1 percent of the total integrated revenue of Rs 1.281 trillion in fiscal year 2081/82. While overall revenue collection increased by 11.4 percent, provincial and local governments together contributed only 7.9 percent, highlighting weak independent revenue-generating capacity and challenges in implementing fiscal federalism. Public debt mobilization represented 25.6 percent of total government receipts.
