The Economic Survey for fiscal year 2082/83 projects Nepal's economy to expand by 3.85 percent, with the total economy reaching Rs. 6.6 trillion and per capita national income at USD 1,535. While Bagmati and Gandaki provinces are expected to grow above the national average, agriculture is projected to contribute 24 percent to GDP. Federal revenue increased by 3.2 percent, but capital expenditure remains weak, and public debt has reached NPR 2.878 trillion.
