Interim order against the arrest warrant on Deuba couple

The Supreme Court has issued an interim order preventing the arrest of former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and his spouse Arzu Rana Deuba. The court stated that the permission granted by the Kathmandu District Court to issue an arrest warrant is invalid because the jurisdiction for cases investigated by the Money Laundering Investigation Department lies with the Special Court. The order also emphasized that arrests must not be arbitrary and must follow legal procedures.
