Licenses of 19 Doctors Holding Citizenship of the U.S., Australia, and Canada Revoked
The Nepal Medical Council has revoked the registration certificates (licenses) of 36 doctors who renounced their Nepali citizenship and acquired foreign passports. Licenses of 19 doctors were canceled on Friday, following the cancellation of 17 earlier in the week. The council acted under the Nepal Medical Council Act and Nepal Citizenship Act, removing names from the registry of doctors who obtained citizenship in countries including the UK, Canada, the US, Australia, and India.
