NAS-IT Moves to Bridge Nepal’s IT Skill Gap with Industry-Led Undergraduate Curriculum

The Nepal Association of Software and IT Services Companies (NAS-IT) is developing a new undergraduate IT curriculum to address the shortage of skilled manpower and the skills gap in Nepal’s IT sector. This initiative, supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and Swisscontact, aims to align academic learning with industry requirements. NAS-IT Chairman Gaurav Pandey stated that the curriculum will focus on market demand, including emerging areas like AI, data science, and cybersecurity, and will be implemented in partnership with Nepal Open University.
