Agriculture Ministry Secretary Suggests Private Sector Involvement in Fertilizer Supply

Dr. Rajendra Prasad Mishra, Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forest and Environment, suggested involving the private sector to improve fertilizer supply, stating the state alone cannot solve the problem. He attributed the chemical fertilizer shortage to a global supply crisis, not the ministry, and assured efforts to prevent shortages until July, including G-to-G procurement with India. The ministry is also prioritizing organic fertilizer and local production as long-term solutions.
