The House of Representatives unanimously passed two election-related bills, the House of Representatives Member Election (First Amendment) Bill, 2083 and the Voter Roll (First Amendment) Bill, 2083, despite opposition parties obstructing proceedings. The bills, proposed by Law Minister Sobita Gautam, replace ordinances from the previous government. The House also agreed to send the National Forensic Science Laboratory (Establishment and Operation) Bill, 2082, to a parliamentary committee. Opposition lawmakers continued to demand Prime Minister Balendra Shah's presence in the House.
