Pastoralist women from around the world will gather in Kathmandu from May 26-29 for the Global Gathering of Pastoralist Women, hosted by ICIMOD. The event aims to recognize their leadership, share experiences, and strengthen global solidarity around pastoralism, rangelands, and climate justice. A key focus will be revisiting the Mera Declaration, a 2010 document advocating for gender equality, pastoralist rights, and environmental sustainability.
