Snakebite cases are increasing in Sarlahi district due to rising temperatures and the monsoon season, overwhelming local health facilities. The Nawalpur Snakebite Treatment Centre reports that patients often arrive too late for effective treatment, leading to fatalities, particularly due to the lack of ICU and ventilator support. Critically ill patients are frequently referred to other cities or even India for advanced care.
