The Office of the Auditor General has instructed the Shree Bouddhanath Area Development Committee to properly preserve records from its annual research and studies concerning the Bouddhanath area. This directive comes amidst ongoing disputes between the Committee and the Buddha and Melamchi Ghyang Guthi, which have impeded the development of heritage sites in the UNESCO World Heritage-listed area.
