Dairy Development Corporation

The state-owned Dairy Development Corporation (DDC) has paid Rs 120 million to dairy farmers, settling a portion of its outstanding liabilities. According to the DDC, this payment is part of an effort to clear approximately Rs 580 million owed over the past four months, with Rs 460 million still remaining. The corporation is disbursing around Rs 10 million daily following the implementation of reform measures.

The Koshi Province government plans to establish a tea laboratory and research center in the upcoming fiscal year to address challenges in Nepali tea exports, which were recently halted due to India's stringent import procedures. Nepali tea exporters face difficulties as Indian authorities do not recognize tests conducted in Nepal, particularly regarding pesticide residue, impacting market access for a significant portion of their production.
