The state-owned Dairy Development Corporation (DDC) is paying dairy farmers approximately Rs 10 million daily as part of a reforms action plan implemented by Minister for Agriculture, Forests and Environment Gita Chaudhary. Out of Rs 580 million in outstanding liabilities from the past four months, Rs 120 million has been paid, with plans to clear one month's dues by the end of June.

Non-Resident Ambassador of Spain to Nepal, Juan Antonio March Pujol, met with Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Environment, Gita Chaudhary, to discuss agricultural modernization, digitalization, and bilateral cooperation. Ambassador Pujol sought Nepal's support for Spain's candidate in the 2027 FAO Director-General election, to which Minister Chaudhary agreed to consult the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Environment Gita Chaudhary stated that Nepal's biodiversity conservation is intrinsically linked to sustainable development and human well-being, not just an environmental issue. She emphasized the need for strengthened cross-sectoral coordination between federal, provincial, and local levels to enhance conservation effectiveness. The Minister highlighted Nepal's achievements in conservation, including increased tiger and rhino populations and expanded protected areas.
