Construction entrepreneurs, led by Federation of Contractors' Associations of Nepal Chairman Nicholas Pandey, have submitted memorandums to government ministries highlighting a severe crisis in the sector due to soaring material and fuel costs. Pandey claims project chiefs and engineers are issuing threats to confiscate bank guarantees and blacklist contractors, creating an environment of insecurity.

Nepali Congress Chief Whip Bashana Thapa has urged the government to accelerate the petroleum product excavation project in Dailekh district, Karnali Province. She stated that the project's progress is hindered by the delayed upgrade of the Surkhet-Dailekh roadway, expressing concern that the initiative, which could secure petroleum products for 50 years and significantly impact the national economy, is not being prioritized.
