Marsi rice has been planted at Chhumchaur Jyulo in Jumla, recognized as the world's highest altitude paddy field, around 2,850 meters above sea level. The Patarasi Rural Municipality and the Agriculture Office have resumed plantation activities this year, aiming to preserve the nutritious and high-demand rice variety. Efforts are being made to expand its cultivation due to its better market value.

Health insurance renewals are declining in Jumla district, with nearly 56,000 individuals not renewing their policies, according to the Health Insurance Board. This decrease is partly attributed to the government discontinuing its free renewal policy for extremely poor families, while issues like medicine shortages and hospital claim delays are also cited as contributing factors by local residents.
