Minister for Information and Communication Dr. Bikram Timilsina stated the government's commitment to media reform, digital governance, and expanding telecommunication services, particularly in remote areas. He emphasized strengthening the Press Council Nepal for media monitoring and developing digital work hubs and community IT centers. The government is also upgrading its websites for accessibility and disseminating information through digital platforms and social media.

The government's Nagarik App has launched version 2.0.100, introducing features to digitally link birth, marriage, and divorce certificates under a "Vital Event Certificates" section. The update also enables users to submit immigration-related self-declaration forms for visit visas directly through the app, simplifying travel procedures.
