Rights activist Ruby Khan has ended her 23-day hunger strike after reaching a five-point agreement with the government concerning the investigation into the alleged abduction and murder of Nirmala Kurmi. The agreement, signed following talks between Khan and a government delegation, includes a review of past investigations and expedited judicial processes. The government also pledged to investigate potential negligence by police personnel and ensure security for Khan and other activists.

Nepal Police Headquarters has launched a new digital complaint registration system, the Citizen Assistance and Grievance Management Online System, allowing citizens to report incidents via a mobile app. The system aims to enhance accessibility and efficiency in police services, enabling users to track complaint status and submit evidence digitally.

Nepal Police has publicly launched a three-year strategic plan aimed at enhancing citizen-centric services and modernizing the organization through technology. Inspector General of Police Daan Bahadur Karki stated the plan, covering 2026/27, seeks to build public trust and provide prompt, efficient service. Alongside the plan, an online complaint management system was introduced via the Nepal Police Mobile App.
