The Property Inquiry Commission (PIC) in Kathmandu has begun requesting data from government and institutional bodies for a large-scale property verification exercise targeting over 25,000 public officials and political office-bearers. This initiative, directed by the Council of Ministers, aims to collect and investigate assets held by individuals in public office between fiscal year 2006/07 and mid-April 2026, including their families. The PIC is also soliciting public complaints regarding unnaturally acquired assets to prioritize investigations.
