Nepal's Petroleum Consumption Declines 10% Amidst Rising Electricity Use
Nepal has seen a significant decrease in petroleum product consumption, with petrol dropping by 10 percent and diesel by 9.9 percent in the current fiscal year, according to the Economic Survey 2082/83. This decline is attributed to the increasing use of electricity, including electric stoves, and a subsequent reduction in petroleum imports. Electricity access has now reached nearly 99.1 percent of the population nationwide.
