The District Police Office in Banke registered 205 crime cases during the Nepali month of Baisakh (April 14 to May 14), including heinous, serious, and financial offenses. In the same period, the district recorded 20 road accidents resulting in four fatalities and 18 injuries, with driver recklessness cited as a primary cause.

  • A total of 187 individuals were arrested for various offenses, and 76 absconding convicts were apprehended as part of court verdict implementation, with over Rs 4.7 million in recovery and compensation due.
  • The police also reported 74 cases of domestic violence, of which 54 were resolved through reconciliation.
  • Traffic rule violations led to action against 2,078 drivers, generating over Rs 1.8 million in fines.
  • Investigations into 19 public interest cases were intensified, and one money laundering case was registered.
