Free Health Camp in Myagdi Benefits Over 600, Offers Gynecology Care

A two-day free health camp in Darbang village, Myagdi district, concluded with over 600 individuals receiving obstetrics and gynecology care. Organized with support from Birat Cancer Hospital and Birat Medical College, the camp aimed to increase public awareness and treatment access for women's health issues, including uterine cancer screening. Fifteen women diagnosed with uterine cancer were referred for further treatment.

  • A total of 614 people visited the health camp, which provided free screening for uterine cancer and other women's health services.
  • The camp was organized by 'Kalp Empower Women Nepal' with the objective of identifying potential patients, raising public awareness, and improving access to treatment.
  • Oncologist Dr. Binod Aryal and gynecologist Dr. Babita Shah, along with other health professionals, conducted tests, provided counseling, and distributed some medicines free of charge.
  • Women from Mangala and Dhaulagiri rural municipalities, in addition to Malika, received services at the camp held at Darbang Basic Hospital.
  • Prior to the camp, 27 adolescent girls and young women received training on cervical cancer causes, solutions, and treatment methods.
