Kanchanpur Agricultural Company Distributes Fertilizers on Quota Basis

The Agricultural Inputs Company Limited in Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur, has begun distributing chemical fertilizers to farmers on a quota basis ahead of the paddy cultivation season. Branch Manager Hemraj Joshi stated that the distribution is being managed through cooperatives, with current stocks including urea, DAP, and potash. A letter has been sent to the Provincial Fertilizer Distribution Management Committee for the re-distribution of stocked fertilizers.

  • The company has 1,000 metric tonnes of urea, 500 metric tonnes of DAP, and 150 tonnes of potassium in stock.
  • Cooperatives were instructed to purchase fertilizers for distribution but faced delays in clearing stock within the required ten-day period.
  • The branch has distributed nine quotas of urea and seven quotas of DAP since the last fiscal year, with one quota equaling 500 metric tonnes.
  • Fertilizer is also available at the Salt Trading Company, ensuring no shortage for paddy cultivation this year.
