Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Restarts Upper Mai 998 MW Plant After Maintenance and Repair Work

Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Limited has resumed electricity generation from its Upper Mai Hydropower Project after completing maintenance and repair work following an incident at the tunnel outlet. The project, which had temporarily halted operations due to damage at the manhole section, restarted on Jestha 7 at 1000 AM after rigorous repair operations and safety testing. The resumption is expected to stabilize power production targets from the Mai river cascade network.
