MCA-Nepal has begun upgrading the 40-kilometer Dhan Khola–Lamahi road section of the East–West Highway using advanced technologies like Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) and Superpave asphalt for the first time in Nepal. These methods aim to create stronger, more durable roads while reducing environmental impact and making investments more cost-effective. The project will widen the road to 12 meters, and officials highlighted its potential to improve travel safety and create economic opportunities.
