MP Devkota Demands Removal of Policy Hurdles in Forest, Agriculture, Youth Employment Sectors

MP Samjhana Devkota has called for the removal of policy obstacles in the forest, agriculture, and youth self-employment sectors. During a National Assembly committee meeting on budget formulation, she advocated for the commercial utilization of forests to benefit the country economically, criticizing current forest laws as impractical. Devkota also proposed practical solutions for controlling wild animals that damage crops and suggested innovative employment programs for the 'Gen Z' generation, including weekly or bi-weekly remuneration and concessional loans for rural women. Additionally, she demanded stricter market monitoring to address health concerns related to pesticide levels in food products.
