Nepal-China Facilitation Mechanism Meeting Set for June 2026 in Nepal

Part of: House Committee Directs Government to Address Construction Sector Issues

The third meeting of the Nepal-China Facilitation Mechanism will be held in Nepal in June 2026 to review and discuss the implementation of cooperation programs and projects. The Nepali side will be led by Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai. Separately, the government has intensified the rescue of Nepalis held captive in online scamming centers in Southeast Asia, with 71 individuals returned to Nepal in the last two weeks. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reported progress on its 24-point agenda for governance reform.
