Indian national arrested with gold

An Indian national, Param Pathak, was arrested by the Armed Police Force Nepal at the Kakarbhitta customs checkpoint with 570 grams of gold and 20,000 US dollars. Pathak, claiming to be from Kolkata, was apprehended during a routine check. The confiscated items include gold worth 14.465 million rupees, US dollars equivalent to 3.065 million rupees, and Indian currency. Police have seized various personal documents and electronic devices from the arrested individual and he is to be presented at the Jhapa District Court.
