Nepali Congress Chief Whip Niskal Rai Draws Government's Attention to Market Challenges in Ilam's Tea and Dairy Industries

Nepali Congress Chief Whip Niskal Rai has highlighted the marketing challenges facing Ilam's tea and dairy industries, stating that farmers and entrepreneurs are not receiving adequate returns. He noted the presence of over 15 tea factories and 150 'chhurpi' industries, alongside numerous dairy sweets operations. Rai specifically criticized the Dairy Development Corporation (DDC) for withholding approximately 500 million rupees owed to farmers for the past three and a half months, impacting their livelihoods and ability to manage business expenses.
