Govt Introduces Strategy To Reduce Mounting Cost For LP Gas Import

The government has introduced a strategy to end grants for LP gas by fiscal year 2092/93 and provide subsidies for electric stoves, aiming to gradually reduce LP gas usage due to mounting import costs. The strategy, publicized by the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, includes providing grants for electric stoves and promoting clean energy. The Customs Department reported cooking gas imports worth Rs 41.65 billion in the first nine months of the current fiscal year.
