Banana Cultivation Damaged by Storm in Jhapa's Barhadashi Rural Municipality

A severe storm and rainfall in Barhadashi Rural Municipality of Jhapa have caused significant damage to banana cultivation, uprooting plants across approximately 60 bighas of land. The preliminary economic loss is estimated at around 30 million rupees, leaving farmers worried as the crops were market-ready. A delegation, including the Chief District Officer of Jhapa, has conducted an on-site inspection of the affected area.
