Indian national arrested with 570 grams of gold, foreign currency

An Indian national, identified as Param Pathak (39), was apprehended at the Nepal-India border in Kakarbhitta, Mechinagar, with 570 grams of gold and $20,000. The arrest was made by a joint team of the Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal and the Mechi Customs Office. The suspect was traveling from India to Nepal in an electric tempo when detained. The seized items, including gold, foreign currency, Indian rupees, an Aadhaar card, mobile phones, a hard disk, a checkbook, and SIM cards, have been handed over to the Mechi Customs Office for further investigation.
