Route opened for climbing Sagarmatha
▸ Part of: Mount Everest Climbing Route Opened for Spring Expedition Season
The route for climbing Sagarmatha (Mt Everest) has opened for this year's spring mountaineering season following the completion of the rope-fixing mission from base camp to the summit. The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation had assigned the Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee and Expedition Operators Association Nepal the task of fixing ropes for Sagarmatha, Lhotse, and Nuptse peaks. The Department of Tourism expressed gratitude to the tourist guides and ‘icefall doctors’ involved in the mission.
