Representatives of the Gen-Z people’s movement have announced their boycott of the government’s consultation on constitutional amendments, citing the unilateral formation of the Constitution Amendment Discussion Paper Preparation Task Force. They highlighted that individuals arrested during the movement are still facing charges, families of martyrs and injured victims have not received justice, and a previous 10-point agreement has not been implemented. The representatives also criticized the government for not making public or implementing the Gauri Bahadur Karki Commission report and for failing to initiate institutional reforms regarding state suppression and human rights violations.
