The country's total outstanding unsettled audit amounts have surpassed Rs 700 billion, reaching Rs 755 billion according to the annual report from the Office of the Auditor General. The Ministry of Finance accounts for the largest portion of these irregularities. Due to protests and incidents, accounts and records from 179 offices and agencies were not submitted, leaving Rs 147.90 billion unaudited.
