144,000 metric tons of chemical fertilisers in stock: Ministry of Agriculture

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forest and Environment has 144,803.25 metric tons of chemical fertilizers in stock and is distributing them, stating there is no current shortage. While arrival of additional fertilizers is delayed due to the conflict in West Asia, the ministry expects 491,000 metric tons to arrive once the Strait of Hormuz obstruction is lifted. The ministry also noted an increase in fertilizer prices compared to the previous year and encouraged farmers to use organic fertilizers.
