A newborn baby was rescued on Saturday morning after being found abandoned in a forest area at Tarahara in Itahari. A woman cutting grass spotted the infant and informed the police, who rescued the baby and took it to a local hospital for medical treatment. Doctors reported the baby’s health condition as normal, and after legal procedures, the infant was handed over to a shelter home for vulnerable children in Itahari-4.
