Bagmati Province is projected to contribute 36.7% of Nepal's total GDP in the fiscal year 2025/26, amounting to Rs 2,423 billion out of an estimated national GDP of Rs 6,600 billion. The province is also expected to record the highest annual growth rate at 5.40%, surpassing the national estimated GDP growth rate of 3.85%. While agriculture dominates in most provinces, wholesale and retail trade lead in Bagmati, with real estate services ranking second.
