Bagmati province is projected to contribute 36.7 percent to Nepal's national economy in FY 2025/26, significantly more than other provinces. While Bagmati's economy is estimated at Rs. 2.42 trillion, Karnali will contribute only Rs. 277 billion. Bagmati and Gandaki provinces are expected to exceed the national GDP growth rate of 3.85 percent, with Bagmati also leading in per capita GDP at US$2,644, while Madhes has the lowest at US$934.
