A 700-meter section of the Kathmandu Ring Road, from Narayangopal Chowk to Chappal Karkhana, has been completed under the capital's expansion plan, including blacktopping, lane marking, and road signage. The project, contracted to Ambuja–Kali SK JV with a July 2025 deadline, was finished nearly a year behind schedule. This expansion follows the standards of the Kalanki–Koteshwor segment.
