Deadly blast at China coal mine kills 82 workers

A massive explosion at the Liushenyu coal mine in Qinyuan County, Shanxi province, northern China, has resulted in at least 82 deaths, with nine people still missing. The gas explosion occurred on Friday evening while nearly 247 workers were on duty. Rescue operations are ongoing.
