Nepal registers 6.24 million vehicles, Over 5 million are motorcycles

Nepal has registered a total of 6.24 million vehicles, with motorcycles accounting for over 5 million units, according to the Economic Survey 2082/83. In the first eight months of the fiscal year, 281,921 new vehicles were registered. The Department of Transport Management has issued 43,750 smart driving licenses this fiscal year, bringing the total to over 4.1 million. The production of embossed number plates has also progressed, though installation rates remain slow.
