Speeding behind over half of Nepal’s road accidents in last month

More than half of the road accidents recorded across Nepal during the month of Baisakh were caused by overspeeding, according to Nepal Police data. The accidents claimed the lives of 239 people, with 752 sustaining serious injuries and 3,220 minor injuries. Traffic police carried out 137,094 actions against traffic rule violators during the period, collecting Rs 118.27 million in revenue.
