House endorses policy and programs despite protests

The House of Representatives approved the government’s policies and programmes for the fiscal year 2026/27, despite protests and objections from opposition parties. Swarnim Wagle answered lawmakers' questions on behalf of the prime minister. Amendment proposals submitted by 35 opposition lawmakers were rejected through a majority voice vote after they refused to withdraw them.
