Proposals to consider three bills were approved by a majority vote in the House of Representatives, despite protests from the main opposition party. Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, Sobita Gautam, presented the bills on behalf of the Prime Minister. The Nepali Congress protested by standing, while lawmakers from the CPN (UML) and Nepali Communist Party (NCP) chanted slogans.
