Nicolas Pandey, Chairman of the Nepal Construction Entrepreneurs Federation, stated that the construction sector is facing a severe crisis and is on the verge of shutting down due to the government's failure to provide price adjustments as per law, delayed payments, and increased mental pressure on entrepreneurs. He highlighted that contracts are often signed by removing legal provisions, and entrepreneurs face threats of blacklisting and bank guarantee confiscation if they cannot work, leading to significant financial and emotional distress.
