Construction Entrepreneurs Accuse Government of Inhuman Treatment

Shivahari Ghimire, General Secretary of the Nepal Construction Entrepreneurs Federation, has accused the government of inhumane treatment, citing pressure to work and threats of encashing bank guarantees. Construction entrepreneurs cannot work until prices are adjusted to market rates and demand immediate attention to price adjustments, deadline extensions, and bank guarantees. Ghimire stated that despite assurances, government officials have not committed to price adjustments and are instead pressuring them to work under adverse conditions.
