The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested Kolkata resident Zafar Riaz for allegedly spying for Pakistan Intelligence Officers and sharing sensitive information as part of an anti-India terror conspiracy. Riaz, previously convicted in an espionage case, was allegedly cultivated by Pakistani operatives since 2005 to pass classified information for financial gain and promises of citizenship. The investigation is ongoing to identify other network members.
