An Indian citizen, Param Pathak, was arrested at the Kakarbhitta customs checkpoint with 570 grams of gold worth 14.4 million rupees and 20,000 US dollars. The Armed Police Force Nepal also confiscated Indian currency, a driver's license, Aadhaar card, mobile phones, and other items. Pathak, claiming to be from Kolkata, is being presented at the Jhapa District Court.
