Pokhara Bus Park Land Encroachment and Mismanagement

The Pokhara Bus Park land, acquired in 2031 BS, has been significantly encroached upon and mismanaged, with only about 81 ropanis remaining from the original 205 ropanis. Various issues, including land fragmentation, arbitrary distribution to influential individuals, and encroachment by landless people and organizations, have stalled its construction. Despite numerous studies and decisions, the bus park remains unbuilt. Pokhara Metropolitan City Mayor Dhanraj Acharya stated that the process is in the final stages, with a deadline given to landowners to remove structures and negotiations underway with landless residents.
