Ebola outbreak in DR Congo declared global health emergency; 80 deaths reported

The World Health Organization has declared the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo a Public Health Emergency of International Concern, with around 246 suspected cases and 80 deaths reported. The virus has also spread to Uganda. WHO is urging stronger surveillance and response coordination in both countries.
